License
Version 2026-10-11
When you buy a product in the GHOSTUEP store, you (an individual or a company) receive a perpetual license to use, modify and publish the asset in as many Fortnite islands as you like, including islands that make money, without paying royalties. Your team can work with it, and you can use it in one project per client. You may not resell or share the source files, or use them to train AI. A full refund, a chargeback that ends with the amount returned to you, or a breach of these rules ends the license.
1. Who grants this License
This License explains what you can and cannot do with the products bought in the GHOSTUEP store (https://ghostuep.com). It forms part of the store's Terms (https://ghostuep.com/terms). By ticking the acceptance box next to the Buy button, you accept the Terms and this License.
The license is granted by GHOSTUEP ENTRETERIMENTO LTDA, trade name GHOSTUEP, CNPJ 51.431.280/0001-23, with registered office at Rua Honória Correa, 506, bairro Tiradentes, Campo Grande/MS, CEP 79042-330, Brazil (“GHOSTUEP”). Contact: support@ghostuep.com.
Payment is handled by Paddle, which resells our products. The official statement is: “Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.”
You buy from Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited; in the USA, Paddle.com Inc.), under Paddle's Buyer Terms (https://www.paddle.com/legal/buyer-terms). Paddle handles payment, invoicing and refund requests, through the portal https://paddle.net. The license to use the files is granted by GHOSTUEP: it is this License. Technical support and delivery of the files are the responsibility of GHOSTUEP, by email at support@ghostuep.com.
Each purchase is tied to the version of this License published at the moment you ticked the acceptance box. The date of the version appears at the top of this page.
2. Definitions
In this License, the following words have the meanings below:
- Product: each digital asset sold in the store for UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite) and Verse, such as Verse code, UMG widgets, materials and systems, with all its files, versions and documentation. Each Product is licensed separately.
- Source files: the Product's files in the form in which you download them or open them in the editor, such as .verse and .uasset files, textures, materials and projects, original or modified.
- Licensee (you): the individual or company that bought the Product. If the purchase is made on behalf of a company, the Licensee is the company, and the person who made the purchase declares that they may act on its behalf. The person making the purchase must be 18 or older.
- Collaborator: anyone who works with the Licensee on a Project of the Licensee, as an employee, partner, contractor or team member.
- Client: anyone who hires the Licensee to create or work on a Project that belongs to that Client.
- Project: a UEFN project in which the Product is used. In the case of section 7, also a project in another engine or tool.
- Island: the experience published in Fortnite from a Project, including each of its updates.
- Epic: Epic Games, Inc. and its group companies.
- GHOSTUEP-Authored Files: the parts of the Product created by GHOSTUEP that neither contain nor depend on Epic or third-party content.
3. The license you receive
When the purchase is confirmed, GHOSTUEP grants the Licensee a license to use the Product. You buy the right to use the Product, not ownership of it. The license is tied to the Product, not to the price paid: it stays the same if the price changes later.
The license has the following characteristics:
- non-exclusive: GHOSTUEP may license the same Product to other people;
- non-transferable: you may not sell, give away or pass on this license to another person or company;
- non-sublicensable: you may not grant licenses to the Product to third parties, with the only exceptions written in this License (the grant to Epic, Collaborators and Clients);
- worldwide: it is valid in any country;
- perpetual: it has no end date, except in the termination cases in section 12.
4. What you can do
Subject to the prohibitions in section 8, you may:
- use the Product and make the copies you need for your work, including backups and version control in a private repository;
- modify the Product, adapt it, combine it with your own content and create derivative versions for your Projects;
- incorporate the Product, original or modified, into as many Projects and Islands as you like, without limit;
- publish in Fortnite the Islands that contain the Product and update them as often as you like;
- earn money from those Islands, for example through Epic's engagement payouts or by selling items inside the Island, without paying royalties or any extra amount to GHOSTUEP;
- grant Epic, when you publish, the licenses over the Product that the UEFN Supplemental Terms require from anyone who publishes an Island. Currently these include hosting and displaying the Island, promoting it in any media, modifying it to fix bugs, allowing players to use it and selling items inside it;
- show the Product working in your Islands in images, videos and streams, as long as this does not expose the source files in a way that allows them to be copied;
- let Collaborators use the Product in your Projects (section 5);
- use the Product in work for Clients, in one Project per Client (section 6);
- use GHOSTUEP-Authored Files outside UEFN (section 7).
5. Collaborators
A single purchase covers the Licensee and its Collaborators. They may access and use the Product only to work on the Licensee's Projects.
You are responsible for what your Collaborators do with the Product. When a Collaborator stops working on your Projects, they must delete any copies they have. They may not use the Product in their own projects or in other people's projects without their own license.
Share the files with your team only through private means, such as the Project itself or a private repository. Do not give anyone access to your store account.
6. Client work
If you are a freelancer or a studio, you may use the Product in work for Clients. Each Client may receive the Product in a single Project. You can still use the Product in your own Projects and in work for other Clients, always one Project per Client.
In that case, the following rules apply:
- Deliver the Product already inside the Client's Project, in a project that belongs to the Client's account or through collaboration on the same Project. Do not send the Product files separately from the Project. Epic also does not allow UEFN collaboration to be used just to pass content to people who do not work on the Project.
- The Client may keep, modify, publish, update and monetize that Project and the Islands that come from it, and grant Epic the licenses described in section 4, following the same rules as this License.
- The Client may not take the Product out of that Project to use it in other projects, or resell or share the source files. To use the Product in another project, the Client needs its own license.
- Inform the Client of these rules before delivery. Sending the link to this License is enough.
7. Use outside UEFN
You may use GHOSTUEP-Authored Files outside UEFN, in other engines and tools, under the same rules as this License. Outside UEFN, these files may only reach other people inside a published game or application, in the form compiled or processed by the engine, never as source files.
This does not apply to anything that contains or depends on Epic content, such as Epic classes, devices, Fortnite APIs, materials, fonts and sounds. That content exists only inside UEFN, and GHOSTUEP cannot license it. If you are unsure about a file, ask at support@ghostuep.com before using it outside UEFN.
The Product is made and tested for UEFN. Outside UEFN, adapting the files is your own work, and the technical support in section 10 covers only use in UEFN.
8. What you cannot do
Even with the license, you may not:
- resell, redistribute, share, give away, rent or publish the Product's source files, original or modified, on their own or inside packs, templates, kits, starter projects, libraries, asset stores or public repositories. Apart from your Collaborators (section 5) and your Clients (section 6), the Product may only reach other people inside a published Island, in the form processed by Fortnite on publishing, or outside UEFN as explained in section 7;
- give other people access to your store account;
- sublicense, transfer or assign this license, except in the cases written in this License;
- claim that you or anyone else created the Product, or remove authorship notices from the files. The Island is yours; the Product remains GHOSTUEP's;
- use the Product, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune or evaluate artificial intelligence or machine learning models, or to build datasets for that purpose. Using an AI assistant to help modify the Product inside your Project is allowed, as long as the service does not use the content you submit to train models;
- use the Product in illegal content, in content that infringes other people's rights (such as copyright, trademarks, image rights or privacy) or in Islands that breach Epic's rules.
9. Epic and third-party content
The Product does not include or license Epic content. To use UEFN and publish in Fortnite, you need your own Epic account, and you accept Epic's terms directly with Epic, such as the Epic Games Terms of Service, the UEFN Supplemental Terms and the Fortnite Developer Rules. The full list is in the Terms.
Some Products use content that UEFN already provides inside your own Project, such as Epic devices, classes and materials. That content is not part of the Product and is governed by Epic's terms.
Some Products depend on assets from Fab or other sources that are not included in the package. The Product page says when this is the case. You obtain these dependencies yourself, in your own account, and use them under the license of each one, which may require payment.
When the package includes third-party components, they are governed by their own licenses, listed in the THIRD_PARTY.txt file in the package. For these components, the third party's license prevails over this one. If it requires attribution, reproduce the credits from THIRD_PARTY.txt in the Attributions section of your Island in the Creator Portal, which is the place Epic designates for credits.
This store is not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed or administered by Epic Games, Inc. Epic Games, Fortnite, Unreal, Unreal Engine and Unreal Editor for Fortnite are trademarks or registered trademarks of Epic Games, Inc. in the United States and elsewhere.
10. Updates and technical support
Updates, the availability of downloads when a Product is withdrawn from sale and the 12-month technical support for each version are governed by the section “Updates and technical support” of the Terms (https://ghostuep.com/terms). Each new version of a Product is also covered by this License, and technical support covers only use in UEFN (section 7). Download and keep the files: the license for what you have already downloaded remains valid even after the downloads are no longer available.
If your account is deleted (the request is made by email to privacy@ghostuep.com), you lose access to downloads and updates through the store. The license for the versions you have already downloaded remains valid.
11. Ownership
GHOSTUEP, or the licensors of the third-party components referred to in section 9, retain all rights in the Product, including copyright. This License does not transfer any of these rights to you.
You own your Islands and everything you create yourself. The parts of the Product inside them, even when modified, remain the property of GHOSTUEP, or of the third parties referred to in section 9, and are governed by this License.
Everything this License does not permit in writing remains reserved to GHOSTUEP. If you need a use that is not covered here, ask at support@ghostuep.com. Any additional permission is valid only if given in writing.
12. When the license ends
The license for a Product ends in the cases listed below. A partial refund, such as a discount given because of a problem, does not end the license.
During a dispute of the purchase (chargeback), or while there is an alert from the bank or card issuer about the purchase (for example, for suspected fraud), access to the Product is suspended, as explained in the Refund Policy (https://ghostuep.com/refunds). Suspension alone does not end the license: it ends only in the cases below.
The license ends:
- if the purchase is fully refunded, including through the exercise of a right of withdrawal or cancellation;
- if a dispute of the purchase (chargeback) ends with the amount returned to you, which has the same effect as a full refund;
- if you breach this License. In that case, GHOSTUEP will notify you by email.
13. What to do when the license ends
When the license ends, you lose access to the Product and to future versions in the store. The licenses you granted to Epic when publishing do not prevent the removal required below: Epic's own terms require creators to remove content to which they no longer have rights.
The rules on ownership, prohibitions and liability continue to apply after the license ends.
In addition, you must:
- stop using the Product and not include it in any new Project;
- delete all copies of the Product, yours and your Collaborators';
- remove the Product from your published Islands in the next update of each one or within 30 days, whichever comes first;
- notify the Clients who received the Product through that purchase. They must also remove it from their Projects and Islands within the same period.
14. Warranties and liability
Warranties, limitations of liability and your consumer rights are set out in the Terms (https://ghostuep.com/terms) and the Refund Policy (https://ghostuep.com/refunds). Nothing in this License takes away rights that the consumer protection law of your country does not allow to be excluded.
GHOSTUEP does not guarantee that an Island with the Product will be approved by Epic, be featured in Fortnite or generate revenue.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
This License is governed by Brazilian law, and the competent courts are those of Campo Grande/MS, as in the Terms. If you are a consumer, you can still sue in the courts of your own domicile, and the consumer protection rules of your country that cannot be excluded continue to apply.
16. Changes to this License and contact
We may update this License. The date of the version appears at the top of the page. A new version does not reduce the rights you have already received through earlier purchases. We will notify you by email before a significant change takes effect.
